Brick Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I picked up one of these very inexpensively at a local hamfest. The manual is available on line. This same model has been made since the late 1970's. Current models use Motorola transistors, mine has three TRW's with a code date of 1980. The label shows a type acceptance number. This was not intended for Amateur Radio use. Still, it puts out 140W on 146.52 with no retuning. Don't expect a pretty case. This was designed to be mounted in an out of the way location and forgotten. Needs about 15A at 13.8V. No switches or lights, just a bunch of RF.

Great, uber-rugged amplifier. Time Owned: more than 12 months.
Love it! Mine was bought for $100 from an ebay seller, no regrets. Works perfectly, nice clean output. Extremely rugged design, will hold up in the most demanding environments. I've had several TPL amps, and while they lack a receive preamp and SSB capability, they are some of the very best FM amplifiers around. Highly recommended.
