Real amplified tube sound Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Bought this mic at Guitar Center for $240 tax inclided/new. Musician's Friend online price was matched by Guitar Center.

Having a real amplified tube in the sound chain makes for great harmonics. Mogami cables have RF protection as well a very low loss.

With just a Behringer mic preamp after the mic and into the radio, the audio is right on target. The bass is powerful yet nor overbearing. Mids and highs are smooth without any unnecessary sharp rises. Just adjust your ALC for near maximum and then just start broadcasting. Using the limiter/compressor in the Kenwood TS-2000 or other rigs is fine to balance the sound and add the right punch.

Very low cost way to achieve maximum fidelity without fiddling too much with your audio chain. No need to spend more than this to achieve the best broadcast sound available - IMO . . .
