Description: Extremely efficient trapless 80m rotary dipole with an element length of just 17.60 meter (58 feet). Lossfree shortening of the element by software designed and absolutely unique high Q coils and a likewise software designed high efficient end loading. Fed through a high quality Array Solutions 5 KW 1:2 balun. Very robust and optically extremely attractive due to a stirdy design plus an additional element support rope. By the use of the OptiBeam „multi switch system“ coverage of a total of 180 khz in three SSB segments plus 60 khz in the CW part. A real compact single element 80m dx antenna for highest demands.

Exellent antenna			Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
In the past I have tried many types of antennas for 80m. Being restricted in pull up wire antennas it was a hard job to have the good one. Witch was never the case. On one of the Ham Radio exhibitions in Friedrichshaven I saw the Optibeam OB1-80 – rotary dipole. After looking on Tom’s (the owner) website I was impressed of the mechanical and electrical performance of the antenna, so I decide to buy one. Assembly of this antenna is very easy due to the fact all is very good indicated and the most imported things are pre-assembled. I have now this antenna about 4-5 months on my 100feet tower, and really a whole new 80m world opened for me. The mechanical strength is good and the transmitting capacity excellent. This is really a very good antenna for breaking true the pile ups. Also the multi switch systems is very professional build and give me the opportunity to work practical the whole 80m band. For me this antenna is top quality. If you have the place, and you are interested in breaking the pilu-up, than you need the OB1-80 Not to forget: the outstanding service of Tom, DF2BO (owner of the company) Exellent.
