Review Summary For : TW TWANGER SIDESWIPER G3HGE
Reviews: 2MSRP:
Description:
The TWanger, TW's version of a sideswiper, has been well received by the 'experts' with a small number of them already in use in the UK, Europe and the USA. The Twanger is very quiet in operation due to the mounting of the moving contacts on silver plated, high tensile brass strips. Due to it being a specialist item no stocks are kept, the TWanger is only being made 'to order' by arrangement with Tom. Please visit the web site below.

Product is in production

excellent for qrq Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Tom G3HGE was very kind and gave me his first prototype key to evaluate and keep.It is very well made and precise in use but as it's the prototype lacks the silvered contacts which all the newer TWangers now have.
The Twanger uses magnets for adjusting the tension and the contact gap can be adjusted to suit the individual.I find this keys sends at a good pace if needed.
A video which I made is a available to view on Youtube:

Excellent, Smooth, and Controlled. Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
This is the overall best feeling Sideswiper/Cootie I have ever had the pleasure to own and use. It is a Pre Production model so there is not as much detail taken on the appearance however it posses the most precise feel of any Sideswiper I have used. For a Pre Production model the finish is still very nice as you can see by the photo and on the web site. The adjustments for tension and contact spacing are made using an Allen wrench which is included and stored on the bottom of the base. It comes with a 1/4 or 1/8 inch plug. The lever tension is controlled by magnets. Super quiet, very smooth and controlled. Although an Allen wrench is required for adjustments, and the addition of thumb screws would be a plus, once the tension and contact spacing are set there is no need for readjusment. This is a great bargain and I highly recommend it. Better get one while the opportunity is there.
