the best Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
As the owner of a high-end audio shop,I'm very familiar with great earspeakers.Have sold from $60 Grados to $13,000 Stax electrostatics. However, their frequency response is way too wide for communication use.Have tried several "ham" phones, but have been dissatisfied with all.Either the sound is poor or are very tiring after long use.Have had a pair of RS20's now for about a week and they are superb.Their isolation lets you hear weak stations that you miss with others.Sound great on SSB and CW and have worn them for hours without getting a headache. Fit over my glasses.Telling all my friends about them. Will probably last forever, simply the best.N4MWR

About time! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Why "About time!"? Cuz it's a 'knock-off' of a 'Dave/Clark' headset, and it's about time someone built a less expensive version of them. It appears to have the same 'housing', but different speakers and microphone, which is very nice. At least a few of the parts (mic-boom and the over-the-head structure, for instance) are the same as the 'D/C's. Nothing wrong with that since they work well. Even at their present price they would be cheaper than converting a typical 'D/C' headset.
Definitely a consideration when my 'D/C' bites the dust.

(No, I don't own one... now.)

Simply the BEST Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Following several months of operating SSB with the RS60CF headsets I am very pleased to report that they have been an absolute pleasure. They are far superior the “other” popular headset I had used for some years. Operating typically in a hot desert environment here in Phoenix the RS60CF’s are very comfortable thru out long hours on the air. I opted for the cloth ear covers over the gel filled ear muffs along with the padded pillow top headband. After some minor adjustments the headsets fit perfectly. The 24dB of noise reduction is a huge plus blocking out the kids and dogs etc. in the background. My kids have to tap me on the shoulder before I even know they are there ! I have worked numerous stations around the world since adding these headsets, ones I previously just could not hear. Their quality of construction is top notch, I am looking forward to many years of service. I highly recommend these headsets, you won’t be disappointed !!

What was I missing Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I have been using headsets I though were good, and blaming my radio or antennas on weak signal reception. I ordered the Radiosport RS20S headset based on the CQ magazine article November 2011. Suddenly I am hearing stations I can not hear on my old headset at all. Currently copying LY7M on 160 cw Q5 but weak with the RS20S headset then plug in my other headset, absolutely no copy what so ever. I always had to run the RF gain all the way and the AF gain down to copy weak stations, with the RS20S I can turn the RF gain way back and the AF up for q5 copy. I plug in my other headset and the is nothing at the same settings.

Perfect for the hearing impaired CW op. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
As a badly hearing impaired ham, I'm always on the lookout for products that can keep me in this hobby. Thus far, I've reviewed and recommend the "Sounds Sweet" speaker. For phone qsos, the MJF-616 may be of help, but probsbly not to CW ops. Now comes headsets. I do have the Heil noise cancelling model which is only fair.
Then I saw znd read about the radiosport RS20S. I called Arlan Communications and received great service and some good advice. Since only one of my ears "hears" somewhat, I got the monaural version. It is an outstanding headset.I recommend it to CW ops either with normal hearing or deaf as a brick. It will make a difference particularly in articulation of code characters and background noise cancellation.
The build on these cans is incredible.

Great customer service! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Back in May I did a review of these headsets and had one complaint, the cord was too short. Well RadioSport listens to their customers. Dave had longer cords made up for future purchases and swapped out my old one for the new longer one at no cost.

I'm still very happy with the headset. It's proven to be comfortable wearing for long periods even when it's hot. And I still get great audio reports from others.

Looks Great, Feels Great, Works Great !! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Wow....Just had these headphones for a couple of days. They are optimized for the audio frequencies that we need for CW and SSB. These are not your fathers headphones. These are not for plugging into your stereo. These are Ham headphones specifically designed for communication and they do a terrific job. I ordered mine with the cushioned head band and the cotton ear covers. Very comfortable for long duration. My other headphones are some expensive Sennheisers. I have been using them for cw. They are great headphones but the frequency response goes out to 40 khz....too much hi frequency noise. The Radiosport headset is built tough. Right out of the box, I knew that these headphones were substancial and beefy and made to last...I was able to bend the earphone supports so that the earphones just rested on my head and didn't compress my ears. This is a complaint that I have with my Sennheiser. The Sennheisers are not designed for people who have big heads!!
I am very pleased with the RadioSport Headphones.

Very Disappointed.... Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
...that I did not know about these phones sooner.

I had a set of Heil Pro Set quiet phones. The noise cancelling was very good but the quality of the product was very poor and cheap. Had to repair them a couple times.

I saw some reviews on these headphones and they are all spot on. Best quality phones I have owned and so far very good audio reports upon initial use. These phones should last me for the rest of my hamming days and then some.

The cable is nice and secure to the headset using a mini DIN connector and the cable is just a bit longer than others which is something I wanted.

I will give these a better workout in the IARU this weekend.

My only very minor nit is they are a bit snug but I think there is an adjustment for that.

To wrap it up...they are a bit more than other similar products but the quality is WELL worth the expense. Dave's service was very good as well. I happen to order right when they were moving locations as well as their ISP for their website. But as soon as they were back up Dave was in contact with me to update the status of my order.

Headphone "Shootout" Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I recently tested three headphones, and these won. I am mostly a DX-er, lots of weak signal stuff, but also tested these checking into the Mission Trail Net on 75M at night.

My test was to listen to low bands and high bands with noise and all, and see which headphones sounded best (and which seemed to "calm" the noise).

I tested my JRC ST-3 vs. Kenwood HS-5 vs. Radiosport

I had built a little audio transformer box to match the JRC ST-3's to my K3, so the evaluation was fair. The ST-3's were second place, and the HS-5's 3rd place.

The ST-3's are lighter - and my be a tad bit more comfy than the Radiosports (since they are heavier), but sound wise, the Radiosports were noticeably better.

Your mileage WILL vary - because our ears are all different. Its kind of a silly test in a way, but what the heck.

All 3 of these headsets are quite good. My backups are Koss UR-40's - they are the absolute best bang for the buck - but do not close out external noise like the Radiosports. You can't hear ANYTHING outside of your radio with them. Even your XYL yelling at you!

This is one GREAT Headset Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
As a long time user of the Heil Pro-set Plus, I wanted a second, receive only, headset. I purchased the Listen Only Stereo/Diversity headset with the cloth covers and optional Gel Cushions. It is now my GOTO Headset.

When you see the headset firsthand it is obvious the unit has been designed and purpose built for radio communications in demanding environments. After six months of use I have come to really appreciate the robust construction, comfortable fit and great sound. The noise cancelling is very effective too.
