VG for hams with Arthritis Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This lapel mike/speaker comes in four "flavors",
Icom,Kenwood,Motorola,Yeasu.

I have an Icom, and a Kenwood version, which I use with my Wouxun KG-UVD1P. I am told the Kenwood version is compatible With ALL KG-UVD* models.

PROs:
For me the larger mike/speaker size is a MAJOR PLUS.

I originally bought the Icom version in 2008 for my V-82, because I had trouble holding the smaller mikes offered by other manufacturers, which are too small for my cramped hand to hold.

The larger speaker also generates louder sound (more sound= easier listening).

CONs:
The pin down the center of the spring in the swivel clip on the back is easily broken.
I have repaired this by replacing the pin using a small retainer clip inserted thru the spring and the clasp.

The kenwood version does not have a right angle plug, which causes the cable to stick out at a right angle from the side of the HT's case. This means you cannot put the HT in the stock HT carry case.

ALL-in-ALL I am happy with this product because if its size which makes it easy to grasp reducing painful hand muscle cramps.
