Just received and tried. Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a great antenna test instrument.
Well made and compares to my MFJ-269.
Very impressed.

Well made instrument Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I ordered myself one of these units, and were pleasantly surprised by the look, quality, feel and operation of the unit. I did some comapritive tests with a spectrum analyzer, directional coupler and a Antritsu S331B Sitemaster, and SWR, frequency and Z indications on the CAA 500 were all within 3%, and very stable. I'm am very pleased with this well- made unit. If you do not need X, C and L indications and such, just a straight forward good instrument to tune your antennas, the CAA is a charm to use. Definately one up on quality from my MFJ 259B!

Does what it say's Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
I purchased the CAA-500 as an upgrade to a previous product which only went to 65MHz. The CAA-500 could not be more straight forward. First off it's an instrument not a toy. The large meter is especially good for hams over 40. The unit covers 1.8 - 500MHz which is some what unique when I did my research. I had borrowed a friends MFJ analyzer and noticed it's stability not so good when I used it on UHF. Not sure if that's normal but when I tested the CAA-500 under the same conditions it was rock solid. If your looking for a simple, accurate instrument to validate your antenna systems this would be a top pick in my opinion.

Nice item! Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This is a very nice item. Very solid, and built to last. Simple to operate, and yes, no display of the separate resistive and reactive impedance components.....but, id that completely necessary for the average ham? Very easy to use, and the thumb wheel will allow you to "scroll" up and down frequency, while watching the impedance and SWR change real time. Does NOT include a wall transformer like a new Palstar analyzer does (can't speak for what MFJ includes), and the documentation is just a 4-page set of instructions. Simple, solid, well made.

High Quality Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Purchased the Comet CAA-500 after waiting for MFJ to finally update their line of analyzers and offer full coverage including the 222 band. Every year at Dayton I would question MR. MFJ, why no 222? He would answer we are working on that...expect it this year. Well. it has been ten years and he admitted his engineer has been working on a design for that long and no release in sight. Finally gave up when Comet offered the perfect answer. The build quality is well beyond an MFJ product. It includes a Yokogawa meter, I've worked on their instruments over the years and they make a very high quality product. The Comet meter is the answer for those needing a broad coverage analyzer that appreciate high quality. It does not offer all the features of the MFJ but for simply checking SWR and impedance this is the instrument of choice.
