Beware of counterfeits! Time Owned: 3 to 6 months.
Nagoya makes some good antennae at value prices, but also some that are not so good. Worse, they are now being hit with forgeries.

Nagoya products have a mirror-on-black sticker. The fakes have blue stenciled lettering, and are worse than a rock. They are being sold by otherwise reliable Chinese vendors (eBay and online) who do not seem to have caught on yet (4Aug12).

To make matters more complicated, Nagoya has come out with a 39 cm long NA-775 similar to the counterfeit, as well as a 21.1 cm version called the NA-775S (short). I have one of those for my Baofeng UV-3R, and it is a great performer on VHF and UHF, easily outclassing the stock carro--er, dumm--uhm, antenna.

The 775 is good. Just be careful.

very pleased Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
Unfortunatly I think the previous poster
might have had a counterfeit Antenna as there are some around apparently they are very poor performers.

Not worth a carrot! Time Owned: 6 to 12 months.
Not much good for anything really.

Worst rubber duck I think I've ever tested.

It might be useful to put on a demo rig, but
that's the only practical use I can think of.
