Invaluable Resource Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
I borrowed this book from a fellow K3 owner and thought it was so great I had to have one of my own.

This is a great resource and will help you get the most out of your K3. Highly recommended!!!

completely worth the money Time Owned: more than 12 months.
This is a great book for the K3 owner -- or prospective K3 owner. It is considerably easier to use than the Elecraft manual. I liked it so well I have recommended this book to several other hams, and I bought Mr. Cady's KX3 book, as well.

Highly recommended. I don't think any K3 owner should be without one. I like it.

Use it all the time Time Owned: more than 12 months.
I have the first edition. It is a great resource and I almost always refer to it rather than the Elecraft Manual. It is well organized although I use the detailed index to find the subject I am looking for. This is the best equipment manual I have seen (hamming since 1967). Wouldn't be without it!

Definitive MUST HAVE Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
This book really shines if you are (like me) planning to spec and buy a K3 but are kind of lost in the myriad options available, especially the roofing filters. Fred Cady (KE7X) feeds you bite size bits of K3 know how that make the whole thing much more palatable than it otherwise might be.

Having an Electrical Engineering Piled higher & Deeper degree, having taught electrical and computer engineering for decades and writing three college texts in the field, Dr Cady has the perfect background to write this book and it shows.
If you are planning to buy a K3 you need this book. I bought the pdf for $25 directly from him and had it within an hour of placing the order. It will be the best $25 you spend ever.

Well worth the money Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
The user guide is well written and worth the money you spent. While more than 90% of the contents of the user guide can be obtained by thorough reading of all the related manuals from Elecraft, the user guide presents all the useful information in a highly readable way so that you can save your time in searching through the manuals. It also covers many operation tips which were discussed in the Elecraft mail reflector in some details. Again this will save you time in searching the achrive of elecraft mail reflector. It is an useful publication for all K3 users.

Excellent Users Guide for the Elecraft K3 Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.
KE7X new book is a spectacular addition to K3 documentation. I own K3 S/N 0799. I've followed K3 email list, read and reread the manual, spent
many hours with the K3. Fred's explanations of some of the more difficult to understand K3 features are lucid. He uses figures, images
text and exercises in a combination that gets the ideas across. Even experienced owners should prepare for many "aha moments" as they work
their way through this remarkable book. Thanks to you Fred for writing the book I needed to lift my K3 operating to the next level. Not related
to KE7X in any way - just very grateful for this chance to get more from my K3.
